Bruce Highway Upgrade – Dohles Rocks Road to Anzac Ave (BDA)

The Bruce Highway – Dohles Rocks Road to Anzac Avenue (Stage 1) is a $290 million project designed to deliver targeted upgrades that address growing traffic volumes and improve safety and efficiency along this section of the highway.

Stage 1 involves the delivery of extended north-facing ramps and associated infrastructure improvements, including:

  • A new northbound entry ramp from Dohles Rocks Road to the Bruce Highway, continuing as an auxiliary lane to the Anzac Avenue interchange exit

  • A new southbound exit ramp from the Bruce Highway to Dohles Rocks Road, beginning as an auxiliary lane from the Anzac Avenue interchange entry

  • Ramp metering signals on the new northbound entry ramp to manage merging traffic

  • Upgrades to the existing signalised intersection on Dohles Rocks Road to support movements at the new northbound entry ramp

  • A new signalised intersection on Dohles Rocks Road to accommodate traffic from the new southbound exit ramp

  • Modifications to the existing Dohles Rocks Road intersection to close direct access to Goodrich Road East, with alternate access via the Silvereye Drive intersection

  • New and upgraded noise barriers to reduce impacts on nearby residents

Complex Consulting Group acted as a Technical Advisor during the project’s detailed design phase, providing specialist input and review across key areas including cost estimating, programming, constructibility, risk management, and design development.
