Sugar Road and Maud Street Upgrades

The Sugar Road and Maud Street Upgrade is a multi-stage project by Sunshine Coast Council to improve a key transport corridor into central Maroochydore. The project includes:

• Widening of Sugar Road and Maud Street to increase vehicle capacity

• Upgraded intersections and improved traffic flow to reduce congestion

• New and upgraded walking and cycling paths for safer, off-road active transport

• Enhanced bus infrastructure to improve service reliability and travel times

• Landscaping and verge plantings to improve corridor amenity

• Interim safety works south of Oloway Crescent to address current traffic risks
