Caloundra Road, Kawana Way Link Road, Bells Creek Arterial Road (CKB)

The Caloundra Road, Kawana Way Link Road and Bells Creek Arterial Road Intersection Upgrade is a major transport infrastructure project designed to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and enhance safety across the Sunshine Coast region.

The upgrade will provide more efficient connections between key arterial roads while improving accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists.

Key Features

• Construction of new north-south bridges over Caloundra Road, connecting Kawana Way Link Road to Bells Creek Arterial Road and providing uninterrupted traffic flow.

• Addition of dedicated turning lanes on Caloundra Road at both new ramp intersections.

• Enhanced active transport facilities to improve connectivity and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists.

Complex Consulting Group has been engaged by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) to provide Project Management services for this significant intersection upgrade.
